I had the
pleasure of sitting down with the most enthusiastic and
passionate women in the real  estate
business, Carmen E. Bird,
ePRO, CMP, CDPE, Broker Associate. Carmen
Bird works for Lyon Real Estate and loves what she does.
She is dedicated to her profession. Her knowledge and
skills in negotiating for her clients and how she takes
great pride in finding the right home for each client, as
well as match the lifestyle and community that their
family desires is obvious. Carmen has worked for
Lyon for three years but has been selling homes in the Elk
Grove area since 1995 after moving here from the Los
Angeles area. She has MIRM designation, Member of
the Institute of Residential Marketing , which is the most
prestigious honor from the National Association of Home
Builders. Carmen also earned the ePRO designation from the
National Association of Realtors. She held a seat on
the North State Building Industry Association, NSBIA Sales
& Marketing Council Board of Directors, since 2002.
She also serves on several committees, including Bylaws,
Historian and MAME Awards committee which honors Sales
Agents with Volume Sales Awards at the annual awards
Banquet. Since earning her Brokers License from the
California Dept. of Real Estate in 2006, she has become a
Realtor with the National Association of Realtors.
And most recently Carmen has added a new title; Certified
Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), which is a real estate
professional with specific understanding of the complex
issues confronting the real estate industry. Through
comprehensive training and experience, CDPEs are able to
provide solutions for homeowners facing hardships in
today’s market. The prospect of foreclosure can be
financially and emotionally devastating, and often
homeowners proceed without guidance of any kind. The
developers of the CDPE Designation believe that in almost
all cases, the best course of action for a homeowner in
distress is to speak with a well-informed, licensed real
estate professional. They have the tools needed to help
homeowners find the best solution for their situation.
